What an interesting weekend. Chelsea were turned over which didnt come as a surprise but the manner of the defeat certainly was. I will watch wiyh great interest how they respond. United on the other hand were good and deserved their win. Ronaldo is finally showing some good productivity and it seems to be manifesting through the side. If we can beat the blues at stamford bridge it will make for an interesting run in. either way i can hear no fat lady singin just yet.
On the horse front i was saddened to hear of Lingos demise last week. Yet another amnte post fancy sunk. Beef or Salmon was impressive yesterday et leapordstown but you have to wonder if cheltenham is his track? The jury is still out. One knight looks like value to me if he can stay on his feet. The horse i was most impressed with yesterday was General Montcalm. he beat harbour pilot, who pushed the mighty Best Mate close a couple of years ago, with plenty to spare. He looks like one to stay the right side of. Well thats it for now but i will be in touch soon, hopefully with news of a united win on saturday.

just back from old trafford on sunday. What an experience and i know it will be the first of many trips. On the match front it was a thriller, a flowing incident packed match not for the faint hearted. I just felt defensively we left too much space between our midfield and our back four. Having said that we were electric going forward and our style of football is a pleasure to watch. I saw alot of media comment on Evra was negative post match. I would disagree, i think once the communication barriers have been broken with him he has alot to offer the team. For the best part he seemed to read the match very well. Anyway i hope that will be the first of many trips to my spiritual home.
On another note i couldnt help but think that Chelsea believe the league is over judging by their celebrations on sunday last. I may have rose tinted glasses on but i wont concede until its mathamatically impossible to catch them snd hopefully our boys feel the same and continue winning games. I can hear no fat lady singin just yet.
As for racing,i see the cheltenham graveyard increased yet again with the injury of Iktaaf. My advice for now, keep your money in tour pocket. KEEP THE FAIH. D.
